L'Oreal will complete 15 years as the official make-up partner for the festival this year. To mark the occasion the 26-year-old will walk the red carpet at the closing ceremony on May 27.
Mid Day reports that the Players actress said: "The Cannes Film Festival is the oldest and most prestigious film festival where the best in cinema gets showcased.
"I am excited to be at the closing ceremony where the best films will get awarded."
She will be joined by 35 other representatives of the company, including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Freida Pinto, Eva Longoria, Jane Fonda and Bianca Balti.
Attending the event last year, Kapoor said it was her dream to walk the red carpet at Cannes.
Bollywood is expected to be strongly featured at this year's festival, with Arjun Rampal, Bipasha Basu and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan among the stars attending.
Anurag Kashyap's Peddlers and Gangs of Wasseypur will be screened as part of the 'Directors' Fortnight' programme.
