The actor addressed fans after his team Kolkata Knight Riders won the IPL cricket championship this week.
"I want to apologise to the kids for my misbehaviour at MCA. I apologise to all who saw me differently. I shouldn't have behaved in that manner.
"But today my team has won, so I guess, all you fans should forgive me," he said, according to The Times of India.
Khan made the statement from the pitch, accompanied by his wife, daughter and some young children.
The actor was banned from Wankhede last week by stadium officials for allegedly being drunk and abusive.
He initially refused to apologise for the incident, which saw him try to walk ont the pitch post-match without permission, accompanied by 40 or so children.
Khan said at the time that cricket officials should instead apologise to him for "manhandling" his children.
