The South Indian actress will next be seen in Bol Bachchan.
She told DNA India: "I think people have accepted me. It is not really easy for an actor from an entirely different set-up to make an entry in Bollywood. I am satisfied and content with the fact that both the South and the Hindi film industry are happy with me. I have been fortunate enough to have been accepted and treated as an insider.
"I think it is my self-belief and confidence that keeps me going. I haven't had any hereditary entitlements, no godfather and no millionaire boyfriends either, so what I am today is pretty much because of me. My parents have been very supportive and most of the credit actually goes to them."
The actress recently described Kumar as "sexy" and able to keep you "on your toes".
In January, she admitted that she often complains about her busy lifestyle with her Bollywood co-stars.
