Deepika Padukone: 'Ranbir Kapoor and I are better friends than before'

Deepika Padukone has revealed that she is better friends with Ranbir Kapoor than when they dated.

The actress will next be seen starring opposite Kapoor in the romance Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.



She told Mumbai Mirror: "Today, Ranbir and I understand each other better. We have found a friendship that we didn't have when we dated.

"I don't have time to invest in a relationship. I have become a lot more guarded. And on dates, I am totally focused on my career.

"I am not someone who shows her emotions very easily. I am strong. But yes, Ranbir is a friend and he will always be there for me."

Padukone has previously admitted that she still turns to her ex-boyfriend whenever she has any problems.

In April, it was reported that the two actors will not appear in any intimate scenes together in their upcoming film.
