Over 1,000 people turned up to see Shankar Ehsaan Loy take to the stage of the City Pavilion in Romford on Friday (July 6).
Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa entertained the audience in a unique one-off show performing some of their best-loved tracks from films including Kal Ho Na Ho, Houseful, Don and Don 2, Dil Chahta Hai, Wake Up Sid, Salaam-e-Ishq, Taare Zameen Par, Bunty aur Babli, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
Describing the night, Mahadevan said: "The night was absolutely mind-blowing. We were looking forward to playing in a new environment, but I don't think any of us expected the reaction we received.
"It was great to just go with the flow and be able to play to the mood of the audience. Everyone was dancing and singing along - it was truly a night we won't forget."
In an unprecedented and spontaneous reaction to the audience, the trio took requests and continued to perform into the early hours.
Zaf Mughal, who orchestrated the event said: "What a night! In all the years that I have worked in the film industry, even I have never experienced this kind of rapport and spontaneous reaction from artists - they just kept going... whatever the audience wanted they played!"
The musical trio had previously performed a sell-out show at The Royal Albert Hall.
