Vijan and Khan have made three films together under the Illuminati Films banner: Love Aaj Kal, Agent Vinod and Cocktail.
"We like all kinds of films. I like love stories a lot. Saif likes action and horror. So, between the two of us, we would like to make all kinds of films. We complement each other's strengths and weaknesses," Vijan told IANS.
The producer went on to explain that the primary consideration when undertaking a new film is the script.
"We look at the story and if we connect with it, we take it up no matter what genre it is. The idea is to connect with the story and to bag the director who can make it in the best possible manner," he said.
While spy thriller Agent Vinod received a mixed reception and fared poorly at the box office, Cocktail starring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty grossed Rs.36 crore in its opening weekend.
Vijan said, however, he has no regrets about Agent Vinod, explaining: "It is all part of the game. Obviously we learn from everything which we do. As a film we stand by it and love it very much. The idea is to make a film with complete conviction."
