The first trailer for Heroine has been released.
Director Madhur Bhandarkar took to Twitter to announce the official launch of the trailer.
"Excited & anxious to take the 1st step towards presenting my film #Heroine to my audience. Jst in few hrs," he tweeted shortly before its unveiling.
With the tagline 'The story of a girl who lives a new life everyday', the three-minute trailer includes a range of images of Kareena Kapoor, scenes from the song 'Halkat Jawani' and some of the love-making sequences with Arjun Rampal.
Speaking via Twitter, renowned Bollywood film critic Rajeev Masand commented on the trailer, saying: "The trailer of Heroine is EXACTLY what you'd expect from a Madhur Bhandarkar film!"
The film, which charts the rise and fall of a movie star, has been subject to some cuts after the Central Board of Film Certification objected to smoking scenes and a sex scene.
Bhandarkar said that he believes Heroine will be a career-defining film for Kareena Kapoor.
Heroine releases on September 21.
