The veteran star will be seen next in the romance Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi.
He told IANS: "Actors work so hard to become famous and when they become famous, they run from the press, I don't understand that theory.
"First the newcomers are eager to come in front of the camera and later they are like, 'No, sorry, sorry, no pictures'. What is this? I say fame is a very dangerous and bitter thing."
The 52-year-old actor plans to make his directorial debut this year, saying it will be "straight from the heart".
He has claimed to be the busiest actor in Bollywood as he has also appeared in back-to-back releases in 2012.
In Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi, he romances a housewife played by director Farah Khan.
