Despite some concerns that the films may be delayed due to his ongoing commitments for the untitled Yash Raj romance, the Don 2 star is expected to begin work on Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express in October as originally scheduled, the Hindustan Times reports.
"Shah Rukh has been constantly shooting for Yashji's film. He has been travelling from Ladakh to Kashmir. However, that was always on the cards and there is no change in schedule," said a source.
"Even though he is still shooting for his Diwali release, it won't make any difference to either Chennai Express or Happy New Year.
"The film [Chennai Express] was always meant to start in September end or October beginning. That's the way it stays."

"Yes, we are definitely starting Happy New Year this year itself with a 5-6 days schedule in December. After the Christmas and New Year celebrations, we go full steam from January onwards", said the Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi actress.
Audiences may be treated to a double dose of Khan, with Yash Raj's untitled romance releasing on November 13 and Chennai Express expected to be following shortly after.
