The actress-turned-Playboy model hit out at members of the Indian media, accusing them of being judgemental, while applauding the British media for its coverage of her story.
Speaking on Twitter, she said: "The India Media should take tips from the foreign media on non-prejudicial journalism........Huge thanks to the UK media!!!U ROCKKKKKKKKK!"
Chopra also commented on speculation that her confession was a publicity stunt, saying: "To all d m#$#er %#c@ers who consider my confession 2 b a publicity stunt-I chose 2 speak d truth & it set me free."
The star, who has appeared in a number of Bollywood B-movies and was a featured artist in commercial films like Dil Bole Hadippa, has received support from her followers, who described her as 'The Sherlyn Sutra'.
The actress posted a series of nude images of herself warning followers to "unfollow her immediately" should they be offended by the explicit content.
Chopra's Playboy cover - in which she is described as a 'Bollywood Goddess' - hits the stands in November.
