The actor was alleged to have left the film after Viacom decided against funding the production.
However, he recently told The Times of India: "Besharam is Abhinav Kashyap's film and I have not left it.
"These are just rumours. There are certain problems regarding the producer, but as of now, I am a part of the film. If the director does not want me, then it's different. But as far as I know, I am doing the film."
Kashyap launched the trailer for his latest film Aiyyaa this week.
The star will next be seen playing a hearing and speech-impaired character in the romance Barfi!.
