The Ek Tha Tiger star makes a cameo appearance in Zinta's home production Ishkq in Paris, where he plays himself in a wedding sequence for the song 'Kudiya Di Kurti', IANS reports.
"This song was always part of the film," explained Zinta. "It is situational and an integral part of the film. The only actor I approached for this film was Salman Khan and he agreed. I think it is not correct to take crutches for anything in life."
While Zinta had a cameo role in Khan's 2009 film Main Aur Mrs Khanna, she maintained that Khan is not returning the favour by appearing in her film.
"There is no hard and fast rule that just because I did a song in his film he does one for me. Out of all the actors, he has been the closest and most supportive friend in whatever I have done. Not just for this song but for music as well," said the 37-year-old actress.
"Our relation goes back ten years and he has always been supportive. He has been a friend, who has always been there irrespective of what the media or people say, he has a big heart. He is [an] honest, straightforward guy. For me he is so awesome."
The two actors have starred together in several films, including Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega and Heroes.
Written and produced by Zinta, the actress also takes the lead role in Ishkq in Paris as a half-Indian, half-French woman who falls in love on a trip to the city.
Shot on location in Paris and starring French actress Isabelle Adjani, the film will have its world premiere in the French capital.
