Bipasha Basu: 'I want to be a horror film queen'

Bipasha Basu has revealed that she wants to become a film "scream queen".

The actress can currently be seen playing a fading star in the erotic horror Raaz 3.

She told Hindustan Times: "I'd love to be India's first scream queen! Yes. I want to get into the space of Nicole Kidman and Sarah Michelle Gellar in Bollywood.

"Given all the supernatural films I've done - Raaz, Rakht, Darna Zaroori Hai , Raaz 3D and Atma that follows - it should be easy. Though I am yet to play a ghost. "

Basu added: "I don't know about Raaz 4, but Vishesh Films, [director] Vikram Bhatt and I are working towards building brand Bipasha. The Bhatts are the best people to take my acting career forward."

The 33-year-old former model is to have a film especially written for her by Raaz producer Bhatt.

Producer Mahesh Bhatt said that the hit film is based on Basu's real-life experiences as an older actress.
