The veteran director, who has worked with the Don 2 star on seven of his films, explained that it was always a positive experience working with Khan.
Speaking to PTI, he said: "I have always had great experience working with him. He is one actor who has never asked me what the story is about, how much money he will charge... whatever amount I send him through cheque he takes that and rather asks me why I gave such a huge amount.
"He does not meet me before we start shooting, he says I don't want to know the story, don't want to talk about money so why to meet. It is all because he has faith in me."
Khan first worked with Chopra on the 1993 film Darr. The 46-year-old actor yesterday (September 27) hosted a live 'In Conversation' interview with the veteran director to mark his 60 years in film and the occasion of his 80th birthday.
Khan described Chopra as "more than a father figure" and said every actor should work on a Yash Raj film once in their career.
Speaking about his latest romance Jab Tak Hai Jaan, which stars Khan along with Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma, Chopra said: "After Veer-Zaara I wanted to make something different and nice... [a] soul-touching film. That is when I told Aditya, my son, that I want to direct a film. This film is a gift to me by Aditya. He told me, 'Make the film dad, and I am there to provide all kind of help'."
Chopra has said that Jab Tak Hai Jaan may be his final directorial venture. The film releases on November 13.
