Posting an image with a translation of the song's Punjabi lyrics on Twitter, Khan said: "With apologies to Gulzar sahib, sorry sir, i attempted the Challa lyrics translation in a poem."

With music by AR Rahman and recorded by Punjabi-Sufiyana singer Rabbi Shergill, it has been suggested that the opening guitar riff bears similarities with Eagle-Eye Cherry's 1997 hit 'Save Tonight'.

Khan had previously translated the lyrics to the film's title track and invited fans from all over the word to send in translations in their own tongue.

It was revealed this week that Sufiyana singer Harshdeep Kaur will provide the vocals for Katrina Kaif's songs in the film.

Yash Chopra's final directorial venture Jab Tak Hain Jaan has been described as an epic saga of love.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan releases on November 13.
