The actress made the decision to delay the film's release after it was revealed that director Prem Soni was suffering with cancer and was unable to complete the post-production work on the film.
Speaking to the Hindustan Times, Soni said: "I offered to let someone else take over the post-production. But Preity is very clear on this issue. She told me we're in this together and only I will complete the post-production of Ishkq in Paris, no matter how long it takes. I am grateful to Preity for standing by me even if it meant postponing our film's release for the third time."
With Soni undergoing surgery in December, a release date for Ishkq in Paris cannot be confirmed.
The film, which has already been delayed twice, was scheduled to have a star-studded premiere in Paris.
Shot on location in the French capital, the movie stars French actress Isabelle Adjani and is Zinta's first home production.
