Harsh Kapoor: 'New film not my or Isabelle Kaif's launch'

By
Harsh Kapoor has clarified rumours about his new short film with Katrina Kaif's sister Isabelle.

After Digital Spy announced details of the project last week, sections of the Indian print and television media claimed the Kapoor and Kaif featurette was actually their Bollywood debut.

Kapoor said: "I am involved with Coming Home and I'm looking forward to the project because it's a good story and gaining experience in front of the camera is important for any actor.

"This is however, just a short film. It is by no means mine or Isabelle's launch film, it's a great project we are all looking forward to working on. I still have a lot to learn in the industry and this is just one small step."

The Steven Roy Thomas-directed project has been written by Erica Reddy and Melanie Easton. Filming on the Anil Kapoor production is scheduled to begin in the coming months.

Although the original screenplay presents the story in New York, the setting of the film may be relocated to Mumbai.

Slumdog Millionaire star Anil Kapoor first appeared on screen in the 1979 release Hamare Tumhare, in a supporting role.

Katrina Kaif made her Bollywood debut in the 2003 release Boom. Harsh's sister Sonam Kapoor was launched four years later in Saawariya.
