The actor spoke candidly about his ambitions as an actor, his family life and his experiences working on the forthcoming Yash Raj release Jab Tak Hai Jaan, NDTVMovies reports.
Speaking about the public perception of him, Khan said: "I don't know how to be charming. I try to be me and I'm an extremely shy person. I think people confuse shyness for charm. Or it's in my genes."
The 47-year-old actor described his biggest strength as his ability to go without sleep for an extended period of time, and summed himself up saying: "Basically I am quite good."
The actor revealed that the working title for the Yash Raj film was originally Unbreakable. Describing some of the most memorable experiences of making Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Khan said he felt it would be a "fine film".
"It's my film so not for me to state that, but YRF has been making films that improve on their last films," he said. "It will be a fine film emotionally because it was Yash Chopra's last film."
The actor, who is celebrating 20 years in the Indian film industry, also said he plans to complete his autobiography soon.
"I've been writing my book for 10 to 15 years now and things keep happening to me so I keep feeling the book is incomplete. So I keep editing and adding but now I've decided I should end it in the next few months," he explained.
When asked by a fan what he would like to go on doing "jab tak hai jaan" (till I breathe my last), Khan replied: "I'd like to keep making movies, see my children grow up to be healthy and educated, and keep acting."
Jab Tak Hai Jaan releases on November 13.
