Kareena Kapoor: 'Saif Ali Khan was offered Talaash first'

Kareena Kapoor has revealed that husband Saif Ali Khan was originally offered the lead role in Talaash.

Kapoor told the Hindustan Times: "Not many [people] know, but Saif too was offered Talaash.

"[The director] Reema [Kagti] wanted him in the movie, but his dates didn't work out. He is really excited that I am part of it."

Speaking about working with her 3 Idiots co-star Aamir Khan for the second time, Kapoor said: "He is a great co-star and a great team player. He makes sure his films turn out well.

In Talash, a cop, a housewife and a prostitute get entangled in a mystery that links their lives in unexpected ways.


"If I could, I would work [on] all his films."

The Heroine star commented on speculation as to why the media-savvy actor has kept Talaash promotions low-key, saying: "It's the first suspense film of its kind, and probably that's why Aamir has not done much to promote it."

It was recently reported that Shah Rukh Khan was also approached to star in Talaash, but that Aamir Khan had said he wasn't aware of such an approach.
