AR Rahman's solo recording 'Infinite Love' released - video
The Oscar-winning composer said that he wanted to record a solo single to instil faith and optimism in people in a bid to counter the conspiracy theories regarding an apocalypse on December 21.
According to The Huffington Post, Rahman said: "I'm excited to share my new video for a new song I've written, named 'Infinite Love'. I wanted 'Infinite Love' to embody all the great facets of life and culture around the world, while celebrating the similarities and embracing the differences of each.
"This short film serves as a reminder for us all to be open to change and the incredible ways we can come together in the world. The video was directed by Paul Boyd who travelled across four countries in 20 days to shoot the footage."
The video accompanying the song features children in Africa, Hong Kong, the US and India. and a cloaked figure bringing healing to the world.
It will be the first solo single for Rahman since 1997.
'Infinite Love' is released today (December 20) by Sony Music.
