What was the best Bollywood film of 2012? - poll

In a year that saw eight films join the 100 crore club, it looks like Bollywood's global domination is going from strength to strength.

Leading the pack in 2012 was Salman Khan, whose Ek Tha Tiger and Dabangg 2 consolidated his position as action hero number one.

Not to be outdone, Shah Rukh Khan returned in the guise of romantic lover with the late Yash Chopra's Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

Arriving in the last quarter, accompanied by an understated marketing campaign, Aamir Khan's intriguing thriller Talaash is tiptoeing towards the magic 100 crore figure.

Box office success is one thing, but Indian cinema also produced smaller films loved by the critics, from the Oscar-shortlisted Barfi! to Anurag Kashyap's festival darling Gangs of Wasseypur and Sridevi's triumphant comeback vehicle English Vinglish.
