Catherine Zeta-Jones has said that she would love to work in a Bollywood film.

According to PTI, the Chicago star claimed that her background in musical theatre would make her suited for a role in an Indian film.

"Considering my musical experience, I think I fit into Indian movies perfectly. I am not very familiar with actors but would love to work with some if a good opportunity comes," she stated.

The 43-year-old actress has previously visited Rajasthan and Mumbai and is planning another trip to India with husband Michael Douglas.

"I really want to visit India again specifically during the Kumbh Mela pilgrimage and I'm told it is a sight to behold for the eyes and soul," she said.

"I'm hoping to find what I'm looking for here. I'm trying to make this happen with my family. If that doesn't work out I'm definitely coming on my own."

Zeta-Jones, who underwent treatment for bipolar disorder in 2011, added that she is in search of peace and tranquillity in her life.

"Personally, I have been going through a tough period in my life," she explained. "What I require for my mental health and well being is some peace and tranquillity."

The actress stars in the forthcoming American crime drama Broken City with Russell Crowe and Mark Wahlberg.
