The actor received a notice from the Supreme Court in relation to outstanding taxes for income gained from his TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati, IANS reports.
"There are two things in life that are inevitable, death and income tax. I will follow the court's order," said Bachchan.
Speaking at the promo launch for Jolly LLB the 70-year-old star said he had never had any issues with the judiciary system.
"I have not really faced an issue with it. I remember when my name cropped up during the Bofors case in London, the only weapon I had was speaking the truth. We were on the side of truth and we won," he explained.
Bachchan was cleared of all involvement in the Bofors scandal after a Swedish whistle-blower said that the actor was falsely implicated by Indian investigators.
