The eagerly-awaited sequel to the 2008 action thriller will open in new territories including Morocco, the Maldives and Casablanca, IANS reports.
Executive director for Syndication and International Distribution at Disney UTV Amrita Pandey said: "We have planned a massive international release for Race 2. The film will be released in more than 50 countries.
"After many years, a Hindi movie will see a simultaneous release in Morocco in four to five screens, including theatres in Casablanca and Marrakech.
"Newer territories like Myanmar, East Timor, Maldives and Vietnam (with as many as seven screens) are also in our release plan. There is very high anticipation and for this sequel from the Race franchise, and we are excited!"
Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor reprise their roles as Ranvir Singh and Robert D'Costa and are joined by new cast members John Abraham, Deepika Padukone and Jacqueline Fernandez.
The film's cast gathered in Dubai yesterday for the official launch event.
Khan recently said that he was inspired by his Race 2 co-star John Abraham to keep fit during the making of the film.
Sequences of the film have been shot in Mumbai and in London.
Co-produced by UTV Motion Pictures and TIPS Industries, the Abbas-Mustan-directed film releases on January 25.
