Irrfan Khan wins National Award for 'Paan Singh Tomar'

Irrfan Khan has won a National Award for his performance in Paan Singh Tomar.

The film won 'Best Feature Film' and 'Best Actor' for Khan's portrayal of the athlete-turned-dacoit at The 60th National Film Awards.

Khan shared the 'Best Actor' award with Vikram Gokhale, who won for Marathi film Anumati.



The John Abraham-produced Vicky Donor won 'Best Supporting' acting awards for Dolly Ahluwalia and Annu Kapoor as well as the award for 'Best Popular Film', which was shared with Malayalam film Ustad Hotel.

Bedabrata Pain's Chittagong won four awards including the 'Indira Gandhi Award for Best Debut Film of a Director', 'Best Song' for 'Bolo Naa' and 'Best Lyrics' for Prasoon Joshi.

Actress Parineeti Chopra received a special mention for her performance in Ishaqzaade.



A special jury award was conferred on Nawazuddin Siddiqui for his performances in Kahaani, Gangs Of Wasseypur, Dekh India Circus and Talaash.

Sujoy Ghosh won 'Best Original Screenplay' for Kahaani and the film also took the prize for 'Best Editing'. OMG, starring Akshay Kumar, won 'Best Adapted Screenplay'.

Bengali director Rituparno Ghosh received a special award for his film Chitrangada.

The National Film Awards jury was led this year by filmmaker Basu Chatterjee.
