The filmmaker has collaborated with stunt director duo Tom Struthers and John Street on terrorism-themed project D-Day.
"The idea of capturing India's most wanted man in his own playing ground is a question every Indian has asked at least once in their life," outlined Advani.
"D-Day is our attempt at bringing this very idea alive on screen. From the plot to the performances, every aspect of this movie is real, gritty and hard hitting, but more importantly, it's honest.
"The set action pieces in the film and the riveting musical score by Shankar Ehsaan Loy add several layers to the extraordinary, sweeping and rugged landscape that the film endeavors to capture."
The movie stars Rishi Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Irrfan Khan, Aakash Dahiya, Huma Qureshi, Shruti Haasan, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Sree Swara Dubey.
Advani called D-Day "by far the most difficult film I've made".
D-Day - described as a high-octane thriller revolving around a covert mission to bring India's most wanted fugitive to justice - is scheduled to release July 19.
