In a statement, Falguni and Peacock told IANS: "Paris has always loved our clothes and we have worked with her in the past. This is one of our signature styled gowns and she is looking gorgeous."

In December 2012, the socialite walked the ramp for the Indian designers at the India Resort Fashion Week (IRFW).

With India invited as guest country of the festival, many of the stars of Indian cinema attended sporting traditional Indian designer wear.

While Vidya Balan and Aishwaryia-Rai Bachchan favoured Sabyasachi, Sonam Kapoor wore a vintage white and gold sari by designer Anamika Khanna.

A source told Mid-Day: "There were so many Indians this year as over the year going to Cannes has become like going to Lokhandwala. You either get there due to your film or endorsement.

"Everyone just wants to be on the red carpet to display their outfits. More than a festival, it has become a haven for fashionistas and designers to showcase their skills. Even a Rakhi Sawant can go to Cannes next year."

Falguni and Shane Peacock have earlier designed for celebrities like Madonna, Lady GaGa, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Fergie, Nicole Scherzinger, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez and Kim Kardashian.
