Shetty wants Jackson to get in touch

Shilpa Shetty has revealed that she is keen to support Jermaine Jackson as he deals with the loss of his brother Michael.

The pair became friends when they shared the Celebrity Big Brother house together in January 2007, but lost touch once the series was completed.

Shetty has now announced that Jackson should contact her publicist Max Clifford if he wants to speak to her.

In an interview with PA, she explained: "Maybe he can call me, he can call Max and get my number.

"We spoke to each other maybe twice and then he went his way and I went mine. I think we changed our numbers and I couldn't get a hold of his numbers and he couldn't get a hold of mine."

She added: "I can only empathise. I feel very strongly for Jermaine and he's a very good man, really good man and he's someone that I have learnt a lot from. My prayers are with him, that's all I can say."

Shetty described Michael's death as "devastating" after the news was announced in June.
