Two more acts through to 'Talent' final

String quartet Escala and dance act Nemesis both won places in the final of Britain's Got Talent last night.

Escala were voted through as the public's first choice after they performed a rendition of 'Live and Let Die'. Simon Cowell had described their talent as "simply phenomenal", while Piers Morgan said that the group were "red hot favourites" in the competition.

After Escala were confirmed as the winners of the last semi-final episode, the judges were told that they had to choose between Nemesis and comedy singer Craig Harper, who had also been backed by voters. Morgan voted in favour of Nemesis, while Amanda Holden opted for Craig, leaving Cowell with the deciding vote.

"If I was choosing with my heart it would be you, Craig," Simon explained. "But I'm going with my head - so I choose Nemesis."

Escala and Nemesis will now compete against Andrew Johnston, Andrew Muir, Cheeky Monkeys, Faryl Smith, George Sampson, Kate and Gin, Signature and Strike in tonight's final.
