Sharon Osbourne will debate why celebrities appear on reality TV shows at this year's MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television Festival.
Osbourne will share insights from her roles in The Osbournes, The X Factor and America's Got Talent in a panel discussion titled I'm A Celebrity: Get Me On TV.
"In the last 12 months audiences have seen Jodie Marsh marry a stranger, Kerry Katona give birth, Steve Strange manage a hair salon, and dozens of others embarrassing themselves in the name of entertainment," said a statement. The debate will address "why it seems some celebrities will do anything for exposure".
Andrew Mackenzie, advisory chairman of this year's festival and Channel 4's head of factual entertainment, said: "We are absolutely delighted that Sharon has agreed to join the panel for I’m A Celebrity: Get Me On TV as she is sure to offer some fascinating insights into the world of celebrity television."
Osbourne announced she was leaving her role as an X Factor judge earlier this month.
