INTERNATIONAL TELEVISION FESTIVAL, EDINBURGH -- Just got out of a rather entertaining debate over whether TV news reporting of politics is fomenting public cynicism. The end result: 75% thought not.

Standout performer for me was Sky News' Adam Boulton. Interestingly, when pressed on who had lied to him during the election campaign, he highlighted the PM and his reluctance to discuss how many people had been killed in Iraq. "He could have discussed it more maturely than he did."
