A new channel dedicated to Nigerian movies is planning to launch in January.
The project comes from Zenithfilms, a distributor of Nigerian programming to airlines. The proposed channel would air the so-called "Nollywood" films 24 hours a day on Sky.
"Nollywood is the third largest movie industry in the world," marketing head Alfred Soroh told Broadcast. "We want to launch a channel dedicated to Nollywood and even in the future would like to help finance one or two films."
