BBC Worldwide has signed a three-year first-look agreement with Tern Television.
It is the UK indie's first exclusive deal with a distributor and comes after Worldwide took Tern's Spa of Embarrassing Illnesses to 14 countries.
Tern managing director David Strachan said it was an important step for the company: "BBC Worldwide has done a really good job for us in exploiting the success of our UK series in the international market and this deal allows us both to develop a closer relationship and build on success."
Mark Reynolds, BBC Worldwide's director for independent factual, added: "Their slate of programmes and commissions is impressively diverse and we look forward to building its value further through our international sales network."
