BBC7, one of the BBC's digital radio stations, now broadcasts for 24 hours a day. The station previously went off-air at 3am.
Mary Kalemkerian, Head of Programmes at BBC 7, said:
"BBC 7's fresh on-air sound and its addictive mix of archive comedy, drama and books is proving a great hit with our listeners, with one in five people in recent research saying they bought a digital radio specifically to listen to BBC 7.
"So we decided to give them more of what they like and extend broadcasting right through the night."
