Channel 4 has apologised to the Green Party after transmitting its election video alongside subtitles from UKIP.
The broadcast, which featured a soundtrack from Franz Ferdinand, outlined the party's vision of a green future.
Unfortunately however, deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers were presented with messages explaining UKIP's stances on political correctness, immigration and Europe.
"It was a rare and honest mistake," a C4 spokesman told the Media Guardian. "The subtitles were stopped before the end of the programme and replaced with an apology. Only a small percentage of viewers would have been affected."
UKIP's real campaign video is due to air this evening.
