ITV's latest reality series made a fair start in the ratings last night, according to early figures.
Ladette To Lady, which follows ten "geezer-birds" as they attempt to feminise at a finishing school, drew an average of 4.77 million viewers - a 22.4% share of the audience - in the 9pm hour. Only BBC One's Murphy's Law rated higher, with 5.11 million (24%) in the same slot.
On Channel 4, new autism documentary Make Me Normal put in a solid 2.25 million (10.6%).
EastEnders was the day's top performer with 8.63 million (46%) at 7.30pm, but was almost topped by Emmerdale, which had 8.23 million (47.9%). The Bill took third place with 6.12 million (29.3%).
The 10pm reality battle saw C4's Big Brother emerge victorious, with 4.14 million (21.5%) over Celebrity Love Island's 3.68 million (18.1%).
Multichannel's biggest draw was ITV2's original drama, Footballers' Wives: Extra Time, which had 928,000 (7.6%) at 10.30pm.
The season finale of ER on E4 took second place with an average of 676,000 (4.6%) in the 9pm hour, together with an extra 192,000 via E4+1.
Other notable performers included LivingTV's Charmed, with 474,000 (3.4%) in the 8pm hour, Sky One's Law & Order, with 258,000 (1.9%) from 10pm, and Hallmark's Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, which had 237,000 (1.6%) between 9pm and 10pm.
