ITV has confirmed the senior members in the lineup of its newly restructured commercial team.

The news comes a fortnight after the broadcaster announced a shakeup of its top team, which saw the axing of Mick Desmond and Henry Staunton, director of finance.

Gary Digby, director of sales, becomes managing director of ITV Sales, reporting directly to Ian McCulloch, the newly-appointed commercial director.

Clare Salmon, MD of ITV plc, has been appointed as director of marketing and commercial strategy, taking a responsibility for all of ITV's on and off air marketing activity, including programme publicity.

Meanwhile, Andy Bagnall takes on the newly-created role of director of business development for ITV Sales, which includes a particular focus on revenue growth.

"The changes we have put in place recognise the considerable ability and contribution of the people involved," said McCulloch. "This team has the experience and expertise to drive our key objective of putting the advertiser at the heart of our operation."
