Radio presenter Tim Shaw has been reported to Ofcom for a broadcast tricking a former colleague.

Shaw, who works on Kerrang Radio, called former colleague Richard Curson, who he knew to be gay. He pretended to be bisexual and told Curson he loved him.

"He was crying and upset. I believed him and comforted him," explained victim Curson. "I told him personal things about my feelings and sexuality. He then laughed, said it was a joke and later broadcast it."

Curson has filed a complaint with the communications regulator, Ofcom. "I did not know I was being recorded," it reads. "A conversation I believed to be private and personal was broadcast without consent. My sexuality was used, and the subject of a malicious joke."
