Sky One controller James Baker has left the channel to head up Sky Interactive.

Baker, who held the position for two years and has been with Sky for nine, replaces Ian Shepherd, who quit last week for Vodafone.

The news comes just days after Sky One's LA-based commissioner Jamie Roberts also quit after being recalled to the UK.

"In a digital entertainment world, more and more viewers look to be immersed and involved in content," said Baker of his new role. "Interactive TV is a key element of Sky customers' viewing experience, and a vital part of the rapidly converging digital content jigsaw."

Sky Networks broadcasting director Ian Lewis and director of original productions, Jo Wallace, will fill the Sky One role until a permanent replacement is found.
