The Telegraph Group has signed a four-year deal to sponsor Five's new cricket highlights shows.
The deal, which represents the broadcaster's biggest ever commercial arrangement, includes integrated branding within the title sequence of the shows and across all of Five's accompanying promotion and marketing.
In return, The Telegraph is providing co-branded advertising and promotions in-paper and online, as well as interactive games and syndicated content.
Five became the new terrestrial broadcaster of England's home Test Matches and One-day internationals under a deal signed in 2004, although it can only air highlights. Up to 45 highlights shows will air in the 7.15pm - 8pm slot this summer. The matches will air live on Sky Sports.
"Cricket highlights are one of the jewels in our crown and will play a big part in our continued development as a broadcaster," said Jonathan Lewis, Five's head of commercial development. "We are planning to invest significantly behind them, while the cross-media promotional benefits of our deal with the Telegraph offer a unique opportunity to deliver something innovative and heavyweight."
