Trouble plans to add two drama series and an American telenovela to its schedule, it was confirmed on Thursday.

The Flextech youth entertainment channel has secured the rights to the first two seasons of Channel 4's Teachers, and plans to air the episodes towards the late-night end of peak time.

Trouble has also picked up the rights to the first season of Whistler, a Canadian thriller series that made its debut earlier this year on CTV. The show centres on the death of a professional snowboarder at the famous ski resort in British Columbia.

myNetworkTV telenovela Desire will air, as it does in the US, daily on Trouble for a 13-week run. In total, 65 episodes will air along with 13 weekly catch-up shows. The series follows two brothers on the run from the mob who get caught up in a battle of passion over the woman they both love.

"It's a great line up of Drama - the fantastic known brand of Teachers, Whistler which is a glamorous murder mystery genre series and Desire, a totally addictive daily action adventure drama which is full of romance and passion," said Trouble controller Celia Taylor. "There really is something for everyone - personally it marks the end of my social life as Trouble drama hits our screens."
