Reality show Celebrity Scissorhands is the BBC's first entertainment show to begin using video podcasts or 'vodcasts'.

Celebrity Scissorhands vodcasts will be available from midday, with viewers able to download 2-3 minute video clips of the series direct from the BBC website onto their video iPod or other mobile device.

Series producers Endemol UK and BBC3 are working together on vodcasting the Children in Need event, which airs until the main telethon on November 17.

The corporation has already started trialling vodcasts this year on news programmes Newsnight and the 10 O'clock News.

Scissorhands, presented by Alex Zane, sees nine celebrities training to be hairdressers and beauty experts. The show is being streamed live through the BBC website. Highlights are airing every night at 8pm on BBC Three, and on BBC One from Sunday November 12.
