The BBC has acquired the UK broadcast rights to Bob Dylan's XM Satellite Radio show.

The Theme Time Radio Show, which started airing on the US satellite radio provider in May, will be broadcast on BBC Radio 2 and 6 Music next year.

"Bob Dylan is a legendary figure and I'm sure these shows will be of great interest to our audience," said Lesley Douglas, controller of Radio 2 and 6 Music. "It'll be fascinating to hear who his favourite artists are and who has influenced him throughout his career."
