Chat show host Michael Parkinson has signed a new contract with ITV, reports Broadcast.
The 71-year old moved from the BBC to ITV in 2004, as ITV guaranteed the veteran broadcaster’s chat show a 10pm slot.
ITV director of entertainment Paul Jackson said: "His unique style and worldwide reputation ensure his show is a real port of call for the biggest stars. We're all looking forward to a new series in 2007."
The Yorkshire-born presenter started his television career at the BBC in the 1960's, working on current affairs programmes. From 1969, he introduced a film review programme, before moving on to become a chat show host.
