Adam Perry is to join the Community Channel as head of programmes and campaigns later this month.

Most recently, Perry was creative director at production company World of Wonder, where he helped developed shows like Getting On The Property Ladder, Ted Bundy: Natural Porn Killer and Channel 4's recent Penis Week.

Prior to WOW, he was controller of special events at Five under the then chief executive, Dawn Airey.

Perry's main task at the Community Channel will be to lead the planning and implementation of all campaigns, seasons and themes for the channel, ensuring maximum audience response."

Nick Ware, channel controller who Perry will report into, said: “We’re delighted that someone of Adam’s experience is joining the channel and I’m sure that he will take the channel to the next level, increasing its campaigning output and its overall impact to its audience.”

In addition, the channel has announced that it has acquired ThinkGreen from Australian production company World Wide Entertainment. The half hour magazine style eco-series looks at ways to help preserve the future of the planet.

The series will begin in March 2007 as part of the channel’s Environment Month.
