Weekend Spy - Job Spec: Joe Bentley

Responsibilities
I have responsibility for the editorial output across our various mobile services, including the Channel 4 Mobile Portal and Channel 4 Mobile TV. This involves a combination of deciding what goes onto the service and ensuring it’s delivered according to our specification and quality controls.

Getting paid to watch and talk about TV!

Worst thing about your job
Sometimes the technological limitations of the platform can be frustrating – but some day this will all make sense.

First thing you do in the morning when you get in
Read Media Guardian online, look over the Channel 4 portal.

What question have you been asked most this week?
"Can I have your feedback on…?"

Any downsides to working in the media?
Not that I can think of.

First media job
I was building manager at Avalon Management (comedy titans) which basically meant glorified administrator.

Biggest achievement to date
Winning a BAFTA for the Starfinder website, produced while I was at Carlton Interactive.

Dream job/company/lifestyle
TV commissioner.

Best media jolly/event you've ever attended
The Celeb Big Brother party was quite exciting, just for the opportunity to meet a member of The A-Team.
