ITN is to axe at least 60 jobs as part of a revamp of its operations.
This follows yesterday's announcement that the ITV newsroom is to get a £20 million technological overhaul, along with its six-year deal with ITV for news coverage.
In a presentation to staff today, ITN's chief executive Mark Wood said that around 60 jobs would go before the end of the year, but hoped 30 new jobs would become available as part of the revamp.
The £20 million investment, which includes £15 million from ITV, will see a new desktop editing system installed aimed at streamline production.
Operational and support areas will be cut back the most, with the company looking for voluntary redundancies.
