Production company Guerrilla has appointed two new recruits to its growing team.
Ben Freeman joins Guerrilla from Endemol to take up the role of development producer. Freeman was formerly a producer in the interactive department at Sky One where he was involved in the BAFTA-winning Hogfather project, before leaving to join Endemol.
Simon Marsh also joins from Emap where he was responsible for the redesign of FHM.com. Marsh, who previously worked at Saatchi & Saatchi, also takes the title of development producer at Guerrilla.
Ed Pettit, head of TV and digital at Guerrilla, said: “What’s particularly exciting for us is that Simon and Ben are not from traditional TV backgrounds and they bring a fresh approach untainted by the ‘rules’ of traditional programme making. They are two of the leading creatives in their field and their joining us means that we’re able to forge ahead with a lot of big new ideas that we didn’t previously have resource for.”
Guerrilla has recently been commissioned by Sky One to producer Abduct Me, Sky’s first ever non-broadcast TV series commission. The company will also co-produce the Alan Ball Memorial Cup football tournament for Sky One.
