The BBC has been forced to apologise over comments made by Iggy Pop during an interview at Glastonbury festival.
During a studio interview following his performance, the pop veteran used a racially offensive word while telling a story.
The star referred to shops in Camden Town, North London as "Paki shops".
Hosts Jo Whiley and Mark Radcliffe made no effort to apologise for the comments which were followed by a number of complaints from viewers.
A spokesman later officially apologised saying: "We would like to apologise if anyone was offended."
