Sharon Osbourne has been told by the BBC that items she donated to a faked competition will be returned to her.

The X Factor judge gave a dress, shoes and dog clothes to the BBC for the Comic Relief telethon on March 16. She was informed that the items would be won by a viewer who phoned in with the correct answer to a question, however it was revealed last week that a member of the production team posed as the successful caller.

A BBC source told The Mirror: "Management is now determined to move on. One good place to start is by returning the items donated by the Osbournes."
